We advise owners, developers, investors, operators, lenders and marketers on power projects. We represent clients in negotiations of transmission tariffs and service agreements. We also assist various companies in the review of legal and tax issues arising from the marketing of energy from gas and hydro-power projects.

Our services include assisting clients in securing governmental approvals, licenses and permits for independent power producers.

We advise clients on public bids for construction and operation of transmission lines and on cross-border power generation projects.

SVMFA provides regulatory advice to companies interested on selling energy in the wholesale market in compliance with the relevant regulatory framework. We also advise companies on acquisition of capacity in the free energy market.

We represent clients in administrative litigation and discussions before the regulatory energy agency (Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica - ANEEL) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
