Hotel Construction & Operation

We assist clients in management and lease agreements, franchising and other hotel service agreements and associated documents. Our lawyers have solid experience in developing hotel projects in environmental resorts.

We assist owners in negotiating management agreements with international hotel operators and in developing ancillary activities, such as "SPA", golf, tennis etc. Our practice covers the review of several contractual issues, such as operators` performance, FF&E rules, early termination and intellectual property, amongst others.

Our assistance includes the representation of clients before governmental authorities and environmental bodies in connection with hotel construction and operation.

We have represented owners in pre-arbitration disputes involving hotel construction and operation in Brazil. Our work contemplates strategy definition, negotiation of settlement agreements, risk and liability assessment etc.

More recently, we have been involved in green-field projects for construction of hotel resorts in the northeast of Brazil, acquisition of real estate, negotiation with local authorities, discussion of tax benefits, licensing, and drafting of EPC contracts and other related agreements.
