Project Finance and Development

We provide legal assistance to sponsors, lenders, suppliers and private equity funds in project finance and infrastructure development projects. We represent a wide range of developers and suppliers in all phases of the development process, from initial green-field projects to operation. SVMFA has solid experience in structuring project and corporate finance for the development of oil & gas fields, infrastructure, power generation and other energy-related projects.

SVMFA assists clients from project inception through completion. Our services cover due diligence, drafting, reviewing and negotiating term sheets, project documents and financing and security agreements. We also assist clients in overseeing the financial process and fulfillment of conditions precedent for the disbursement of funds.

Our practice group advises clients on regulatory, tax, central bank, foreign exchange, contractual, licensing, insurance and dispute resolution matters that may materially affect project development.

We assist financial institutions and sponsors in the review of legal aspects of projects that combine different structured finance techniques and multiple funding sources. Our lawyers provide highly experienced counseling to suppliers, offtakers, contractors and operators in all stages of a project finance.

Our lawyers have been particularly involved in the financing of oil & gas pipelines, vessels and oil rigs, petrochemical and LNG terminals, refineries, power plants, transmission and distribution facilities.
